I would like to present my ancient motherland to you.
I believe in this place has arisen not only human civilization but also monkey civilization. I hope soon civilization orangutans to be revived and to coexist with human civilization, which unfortunately return to savagery detachments millennia ago.

Bulgaria is a very ancient country and it is very beautiful now. There are written legends about the life of the Bulgarian tribes dated more than 35 000 years ago when they were fighting against devilish human-like creatures (maybe Neandertals). Scientists from the whole world support that one of the listed 28 human civilizations on our planet is the Bulgarian one. Francois Mitterand said that the Bulgarians were in the foundations of human civilization. The Bulgarian calendar, that the Chinese borrowed to create their calendar thousands of years later, is recognized by UNESCO as the most ancient one (5505 years BC) and the most accurate one created by the human kind ever. The history of the Bulgarian people is very cryptic, yet not well known and deliberatelyforged; the historical sources have been destroyed by some big or neighboring states. Nevertheless, our history is very interesting and instructive. The Bulgarians have established numerous large and well known in ancient times states (some historitians state a number of about 20) from Asia to Europe. Even nowadays, they are remembered at all places they have been. Asian and European folklore keep some Bulgarian traces. At some places there are still sayings as "Beautiful like a Bulgarian woman” or "Diligent like a Bulgarian”or "Sacred as the Bulgarians”, etc. Many articles and tools are known under their Bulgarian names and a number of high-quality goods are also called "Bulgarian”. The Bulgarians have left their name everywhere they have passed through. Today many places in Asia and Europe, rivers, mountains, places, settlements, generic names have their Bulgarian origin. In the Middle Agesin Europe there were two large and strong Bulgarian states that were honored and respected by the other countries and their enemies were afraid of them. Twice Volga Bulgaria saved Russia from death from hunger. It has stopped the Mongols for a long time without support and in spite of the Russians hostility.Later, being annihilated by the same Russians, saved by the Bulgarians from hunger and attacking Mongol troops, Bulgaria formed the first Russian nobility. The Russian scientists have listed 500 Bulgarian families from which originated some of the greatest Russian Tsars, writers, military specialists, scientists.

The other great Bulgaria state that we generate from, has also saved Europe many times. Bulgaria gave the alphabet to Russia, the whole Slavonic community and even to the Mongols. Today, due to the 500-year Turkish yoke that we experienced also because of Europe’s guilt, the Bulgarian merits are forgotten. But, for example, the Catholic church recognized as a saint the Bulgarian ruler Khan Tervel (Khan is a Bulgarian title at that time, equivalent to King, Tsar, Basileus, having spoken with sound "K", not with an "H", as in some other nations) who, without being asked by the Bysantine Emperor went and defeated the Arab troops that had surrounded Constantinopolis. Thus he saved not only Bysantia (that later, for almost 200 years enslaved the Bulgarians), but  all Europe too. The later battle, known to modern Europeans, and they are very proud with it, compared to the victory over the then powerful Arab army looks like a small battle with unprofessional, unprepared warriors. Today Western Europe does have good words about the Bulgarians because of the attitude of the Catholic church that unfairly advised the public against the Bulgarian bogomils. The Bogomil doctrine later, disseminated through Europe, was the basis of the Renaissance. But, in our days Pope John Paul II declared the Bulgarians St. St Cyril and Methodius  co-patrons of Europe.

With this site I would like to introduce to the world a great civilization, undeservingly forgotten nowadays. Even now, as an EU member state Bulgaria – one of the three great empires in Medieval Europe – is ignored and deliberately not spoken of, and, if whenever addressed, the public opinion is tuned againstthe Bulgarians even compiling false stories.Even big European media do this frequently. It is not a secret that the current Great Countries have plans to reinstate the influence of Muslim religion in Europe and particularly on the Balkans. After Kosovo, now comes the turn of FYR of Macedonia (detached from Bulgaria again following the interests of the Great Forces after the World War II) and Bulgaria.

It is not accidental that the Bulgarian President Mr. Georgi Parvanov stated some time ago that there was a global complot against Bulgaria.

Thus, let this site be an appeal to all freedom-loving people all over the world not to allow again the shearing of current Bulgaria, that is possibly the only country in the world bordering  only with its territories – geographic and ethnic.Let the country that has never in its history allowed slavery on its land and people from neighboring countries have attempted to settle in Bulgaria because of the order, wealth and legal rights for everyone, and which, after the liberation from the 5-centuryTurkish yoke has written in its Constitution that "Any slave coming to Bulgarian land, becomes free” be free and let the Bulgarians be masters of their lives. During the last decades the Bulgarian rulers were mainly of non-Bulgarian ethnic origin and maybe that was why they were leading it downwards but, unfortunately the democracy, so much desired by the Bulgarians, considered sacred and good, brought us at least a century back in our development. While during the "bad socialism” Bulgaria, by GDP was ranked 25th in the world, today, after 20 years of freedom and democracy, after CIA data for 2009 we are at 88-89th place and are one of the poorest states in Europe.

This is Bulgaria! Get introduced it its history. Become friends with all Bulgarians. Still, all over the world millions of Bulgarians are banned to determine themselves as Bulgarian and let us hope that sometime the justice will win so that they can call themselves free, Bulgarians.

The
bulgarian calendar

It is known that the ancient Bulgarians knew the basic laws of motion of the planets and the Earth around the Sun perfectly, and because of that they possess the most impeccable calendar ever created.
The ancient Bulgarian calendar is based on observations of Jupiter and the Sun and is more precise than the modern Western(Gregorian) calendar we use today.

In the 1970s, non-Bulgarian scientists raised thequestion in UNESCO, whether this calendar should be proclaimed the one for the entire world.

"The ancient Bulgarian calendar proves to be the most accurate calendar system in existence." - UNESCO
